Embung Tambakboyo

In the north of Yogyakarta, there is a dense and crowded place named Condong Catur. There are some private colleges and universities, also the housing complex. Supporting facilities such as food stalls, shopping centers, and sport venues to cafes were spreaded in this area. Those all things make this area is always crowded from morning to midnight. Hitam Putih Malang

Melakukan perjalanan ke luar kota tentu ada suka dan dukanya. Dilihat dari sukanya, banyak… tapi dukanya juga belum tentu sedikit. Tanggal 5 Oktober 2011 aku berkunjung ke kota Malang. Ini adalah yang ketiga kalinya aku ke sana. Dan banyak pengalaman gak enaknya. Yang jelas aku tersesat tiga kali. From Clay To Be Money

Kasongan is located in Bantul or about 6 kilometers south of Yogyakarta. Here, the pottery has become a common profession for generations until now. There is no valid data to show when the pottery activities began. However, based on the book “Disain Keramik Kasongan” (written by Ponimin), there was a man is called Kyai Song who was the pioneer of the Kasongan ceramics about 320 years ago. (more…)

The Traditional House of Lampung

On my way from Bandar Lampung to the Lake Ranau in West lampung, I passed through several towns with some different scenery, including the plantations of nutmeg and oil palm. At first, it was so boring and exhausting. Finally entered a village named Belalau, I found something extraordinary. I saw a lot of unique houses lined up on both sides of the road. The house that I had never seen in Java, especially in my hometown, Yogyakarta. Great! Those were the indigenous houses of Lampung! Soon, I stop the car and took the camera. I was so excited as if to devour the houses. Unfortunately, the village was so quiet, so I didn’t find anyone to asked. (more…)
