Prajurit Patangpuluh : The Yogyakarta Palace Soldiers


Prajurit Patangpuluh originated of 40 soldiers who were known to have extraordinary courage and toughness, which were very reliable on the battlefield.

Its flag named Cakragora with rectangular shaped with black base color, and there is a red hexagon star at center. Cakragora derived from Sanskrit. Chakra means serrations shaped weapon and Gora means awesome or scary.

The uniforms of Patangpuluh soldiers is Sikepan shaped with distinctive striated pattern of Patangpuluh, red shorts outside the white trousers, red vest, black boots and songkok shaped black cap. Their weapons are rifle and spear.
